On behalf of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar Tourism Human Resources Development Association (MTHRDA), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our official website.
MTHRDA was established with a clear and purposeful vision: to support and strengthen the development of tourism and hospitality human resources in Myanmar through collaboration, quality assurance, and alignment with national, ASEAN, and international standards. Guided by our Constitution, the Association works closely with relevant government ministries, the Myanmar Tourism Federation, training institutions, industry experts, and international partners to uplift skills, professionalism, and employability within the tourism sector.
Over the years, MTHRDA has actively carried out a wide range of initiatives covering academic development, professional training, skills assessment, exhibitions, and industry collaborations. These activities include competency-based training programs, train-the-trainer initiatives, curriculum development, quality assurance monitoring, participation in tourism and education exhibitions, and partnerships with both local and international organizations. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure that tourism education and training in Myanmar meets recognized standards and responds effectively to industry needs.
A key priority of MTHRDA is empowering youth and future professionals. By working with training centers, assessment bodies, and industry stakeholders, we help create meaningful career pathways and employment opportunities for young people entering the tourism and hospitality sector. We believe that a skilled, ethical, and globally competitive workforce is essential for the sustainable growth of Myanmar’s tourism industry.
As a national-level association, MTHRDA is committed to unity, transparency, and inclusive participation. We encourage our members to actively contribute ideas, expertise, and collaboration for the collective advancement of tourism human resource development.
